Why are them not available on the Linux version of the game?

I bought this game specifically with my mind on the very much touted modding capacities. Is there any plans to include the modding tools in the Linux version soon? If not, I'm seriously considering asking for a refunding on Steam.

Amazingly, the game runs on Wine. However, it is unplayable - there are severe glitches on map rendering - and, most important to this thread, Mod Editor doesn't run. When I click on that option it flashes (open/close) a "Ged" window and then replicates the behavior of the "Easy Start Option", instead of opening the Mod Editor application.

Running Ged.exe from terminal results in a stream of errors and a black "Ged" window.

So, no modding on Linux, at least not the easy way. It would probably be possible to mod in Linux anyway just by directly editing the involved files, but that would also be kind of pointless, since Steam Workshop uploading is handled in-game by the Mod Editor anyways.

Don't worry too much about the in-game mod editor. It's extremely slow to navigate and buggy right now. Also loads of missing documentation.

Minor point, but on Windows it also does an "Easy Start". It is my current belief that there needs to be an actual game open for the editor to function.

So the fact that this also happens on Wine is a good thing, not a bad one. Doesn't solve the real problem, I know...
