For some reason my eu2.exe stopped working in one of my eu2 folders. No matter if I ran it through moddir AGCEEP or vanilla it crashed the moment I reached the first menu.

Anyway, I thought it'd be the easy way to fix this by simply moving my AGCEEP 1.56 Deluxe moddir folder to another eu2 folder, where I also had AGCEEP 1.55 Deluxe installed. No sooner said than done. It worked good and I could play 1.56 again. But then there came some problems. Some of the events that are happening around the world are being called EVENTNAMExxx with ACTIONNAMExxx on them. I'm thinking it is a text.csv problem, but can't understand how to possibly fix it. The ACTION- and EVENTNAMEs are in the file.

Does it have to do with me not installing AGCEEP into the folder per se, and just having copied the folder? How do I fix this?

Were the 1.55 files still in the folder? It sounds like you might still be using the text.csv for 1.55 which is why the event names aren't always there.

If you are going to copy and paste, gut the destination folder (remove all files inside) and then copy.

Nope, didn't do that. I have the 1.55 folder left under "AGCEEP" and the 1.56 as "AGCEEP_156". I edited the shortcut as well, of course. And as I mentioned I even replaced the text.csv with one of my friend's, and it didn't help. Heck, it even says in the text.csv "AGCEEP 1.56", so it can't be wrong.

Used version of AGCEEP must be in AGCEEP folder (all references in setup files are intended for AGCEEP folder) of EU2 folder. Do the reverse and have "AGCEEP_155" for 1.55 and "AGCEEP" for 1.56 in the same EU2 folder. Of course, revert shortcut to original as well.

If you need to go back to 1.55, you will have to rename AGCEEP to AGCEPP_156 and then remove _155 in the other. Shortcut will need no modification.
