Hello,
I recently found my old putin mod, which was a successor of the great Modern Day Scenario mod from long long ago.

I'm attaching a link to the very last version of the putin mod, which contains very many modern units/sprites/images/files etc etc; if you have a desire to create a new Modern Day Scenario, then you will find all the necessaries in this uploaded item.

The putin mod is very politically incorrect for this current era. So I'm suggesting to you that you strip the mod for any files / unit sprites of which there are about 250 ! and create your own modern day mod.

MANY people contributed to the creation of the Modern Day Scenario and the putin mod, and their files/images/units etc are all included. There is only this one working mod remaining from 8 YEARS ago. So thanks to them all and sadly goodbye from me.

I have the same problem.It craches at the start of the game. Perhaps the mod is not update to the 1.05.2 version of the game.

Novapaddy, i continue and will continue to play also with MDS, it needs some new events.

Interesting, this version of the mod so far seems to be the copy that I have as well. I'm not fully sure about it but it seems to share the folder name mine has as well in regards of the zz before the name. So, if that's the case, I could probably upload my copy as well.

I tinkered up mine so it is updated to what I think was the latest version of Darkest Hour, only thing is that it could take a bit of time for me to do so. It also has no crashes from what I've barely seen of it, though must say it has an extra scenario I was just playing with to use on my AAR.

EDIT:: So, I was doing nothing at all to be honest. So, I am uploading my version of the mod, it is updated so it doesn't have the resource crash or the battle crash, there may be an extra scenario with some railroaded events (like 5 tbh) just for my AAR purposes. But, willing to share it since I don't remember which files had to be edited from the original version for it to work on current DH. Download here.

Very interesting.
Could you elaborate a bit on which Putin version Diaz' Fix is based? Version 7 or 8? I can*t read italian but an online translation of the text and notes didn't show any mentioning of what version was used.

I am asking because for long I had only knowledge of the old PutinModver7(26092016) 1.05 version. But above in first post novapaddy offered PutinModver8 and @RV-Ye "tinkered" with it to make it compatible with the newest DH 1.05.1/2 version. So the question arises wether Diaz' Fix might overwrite the new additions and fixes of novapaddy and RV-Ye...

Or, maybe, @novapaddy has already worked in the changes of Diaz' fix?
 
I destroyed my last Putin-Mod+Fix yesterday, so I searched for both and installed the one novapaddy posted here and then diaz' fix. I just started a new game but doesn't play more than a few minutes. This is now my evening program :p
