Ohhh...I forgot something. We have one nuclear power plant at Paks (Kecskemét). Can you show this energy plant as to Hungary gains +50 energy by offmap? :)

Hi people, although I am busy with placing units on the map, I have just began to write scenario. It is in the beginning phase.

MODERN WARFARE MOD offers you strictly historical gameplay between 2003-2012. The AI will be strictly historical (hmm, almost strictly) but you won't be. I will try to simulate different outcomes produced by player's actions and make sure that he will get rewards for his successes.

There are thress major alliances in MWM as in MDS 1.6, Islamic Alliance led by Iran, NATO led by USA and Shanghai Organization led by China. Russia will probably join SCO but I have plans to create a possibility for independent Russian strategy based on Georgian War.

The world war won't break out if player choose not to do so. Danzig of the mod is 2012 Egyptian surprise attack on Israel.

2011-- Egyptian Revolution
Late-2011 -- Muslim Brotherhood takes power in Egypt
2012 -- Israeli military operations in Gaza against Palestine
Mid-2012 -- Egyptian surprise attack on Israel, Israeli air strike on Iranian military bases, Iran launches Shabab missiles on Israel, US and Israel declares war on Iran and her islamic allies ( Tunisia ? Libya ? may be Turkey ? )
Late-2012 -- Chinese ultimatum to Taiwan


Of course, for the player, it is possible to start the war earlier. One of them will be Georgian War.

2008 -- Georgian authorities enter South Ossetia and kills few Russian soldiers, Russia attacks Georgia. After Georgian Army is beaten off, NATO countries demand withdrawal of Russian Army from Georgia. At this point, if Russian player has necessary political system and international stance idea, he will be able to continue military operations, NATO will intervene in favor of Georgia.

Another one will be North Korean problem.

2010 -- North Korea sink South Korean ship, North Korea ask support from China, Chinese player may choose to support North Korea. With US support, South Korea conduct air strikes on North Korean military ports. At this point, if Chinese player have necessary international stance idea, he will be able to conduct military strikes in South Korea as a retaliation. North Korean ground forces cross the 38th Parallel and escalates the tension.

Another one will be Russian intervention in Belarus.

2007 -- Russian - Belarus energy dispute
mid-2007 -- If Russian player has necessary political stance and idea, Russian intelligence try to topple Lukashenko with a coup. Lukashenko realizing the coup, send away all Russian advisors in Belarus and arrest some of them. Russian Army intervenes in Belarus. EU countries send ultimatum to Russia.

There may be few more of these sparking events like Indian-Chinese War.

If you are playing as minor, you have to wait until 2012 for World war, but many minors will have opportunities for proxy wars if they set their political ideas and views correctly. I may also give few minors like Israel, Turkey, Brazil and Mexico a chance to start world war.

Also, There will be a lot of small-scale conflicts. Ethiopian - Somalian war, Serbian War on Kosovo, possible US intervention in Myanmar, US - Cuban War, Congo - Uganda,Rwanda War, French intervention in Ivory Coast, Possible Russian intervention in Kygrzystan, East Timor crisis, Possible NATO intervention in Sudan following Darfur massacres, NATO intervention in Libya and possibly in Tunisia, Israel - Palestine and Israel - Lebanon War and etc.

Other than these, you, as a player will be free to do as you wish. For example, I won't let Germany to be Totalitarian (national socialist in the past) via events but you may do this by moving sliders or by cheating. But then prepare for the worst. NATO will not tolerate a country like Germany to turn into dictatorship, they will intervene and bring democracy back to Germany. The same applies for many countries, in MWM, it won't be easy to conquer whole of Europe without facing the entire globe. NATO will also embargo you causing massive IC drops and tech slowdown in your country.

Lastly, progress situation and to-do list :

I have a scenario idea for the MDI.

For first i have some ideas for Russia.:
-1. The player can switch between the army stances in the early(start) game. The first stance is the conspricted army what is would be changed by the AI 90% and the volunteer army were its chance to choosed by the AI would be 10%.(I think this event was in MDS 1.5. But i don't met with in 1.6...)
-2. The player receive some extra armies when russia is get under attacked. (Like reservers get called in the army and get deployed.) I mean if the enemy get closer to Moscow an event get fired to Moscow's populations 25% (All boys and girls from 18-24) get conspricted. These can be get real to the russians getting 12-12 militias/garrisons.(Great mobilization) But just these events are get fired when the enemy forces are getting near to an importent city(Petrograd,Saratov,Moscow etc.).

What do you think about that? :)
 
I think in the case of Russia, it should have an almost Soviet style mobilisation process so it starts with it's well trained Category A Divisions and it's B Category Divisions with slightly outdated equipment but almost ready, about 50-75% strength ingame so perhaps once war is declared they can get fully reinforced in a couple of days. Category C units with obsolete equipment takes about 2 months and then the D units take upto 6 months.

You could represent this ingame by locking category C divisions at 10% strength which only uncaps on the onset of WW3, or even better, spawn them 2 months into the war at about 90% strength.
Category C's would probably have T-72/64/60 whilst D's would have T-55.

I mean there is already an event for russia mobilization in mdsII 1.6

I won't put any mobilization events. Motorized, mechanized units or tanks can't be produced immediately, they should be produced in production tab. Only exception will be garrisons as they represent rapidly formed resistance groups. I may give them to countries which get invaded for free to represent a country distributing rifles to its citizens. Othern than that, everything should be produced manually.
 
Guys, I need someone to put IC and infra values on Germany. I will put maps here, if someone is willing to do, I would be very happy. 99 IC should be distributed in Germany.

Guys, I decided to change minister traits. Old traits are mostly related to WW2 and doesn't reflect the mood of present day. Furthermore, Minister of Economy and Minister of Interior are added with the mod, but these two ministers have highly militaristic traits. This should be changed.

Guys, I have ported my work to AoD 1.07 patch over Iron Cross revision 6. I have also added a battlescenario to make combat tests.

I have spring break April 20, from this date on, I will work on the mod full time:)
