About the supply attached to the units you implemented.
I think it should be modified in one specific way.
In the 44 scenario, a human player should be able to reach Berlin even if cut from the supply dump, only with the oil/supply coming along the units.
Historically, there was a huge problem with supply after operation "Cobra".
My solution would be easy to implement:
A unit just embarked should left all its supply behind, except for 3 or 5 days.
This way, after a successfull beach-assault, the attacker would have to consolidate its holding and wait for the supply to come.
It is not realistic to download 1000s of tonne of supply when you are under fire. What you are looking for is to disembark enough firepower to clear a beach head.

It might be a good solution.

The supplies lost both for airborn landings and amphibious assaults could then represent various one time use items needed, like landing ships and gliders.

However I wouldn't call it a bug, more a suggestion for future patches/addons.

Alex, I didn't say it was a bug, but a very unrealistic solution in this specific case.
At first, I didn't mean the unit should lose the supply/oil but that it should be "detached".
But I found your idea about the gliders etc... very interesting.
So, if I am correct, a unit before an amphibious/air assault should be at full organisation and fully supplied, and should lose all except 3-5 days of supply once the province captured.
Do we agree?

Nope, but the post in the bug report forum ;)

That was the Idea yes. Since supplies is an indirect cost on IC it can be used to represent that extra equipment, which is only used once in these attacks and not needed later.
