The hardware in current consoles is unable to handle the additional stress of mods. PlayStation themselves seem to not want mods implemented into games on their platform in general.Why can’t PS4 have mods?

What about the ideas of building types and religion?
To make the game more realistic, why isn’t there religion and new building types for consoles?? Or new adjustments to the environment like more unemployed area means more hanging around rather than walking to and from work and buildings??
Because Sony make it effectively impossible. There and many threads on this here from over the years.Why can’t PS4 have mods?
They are not going to add options like that to the console before they add them to the PC/Steam version, I am sure.
