While I do own both a pc and a Mac, some times I prefer to kick it on my couch macbook style :). I know that in sim city 4, it's 100 times easier to work with mods for the pc. I was curious will there be a difference between Mac and pc mods? Sorry if im not very clear. I'm not exactly the most technical person.

Will mods be universal for both os's?

Most mods for CO-developed games worked easily by adding a folder in the Addon>Mods file path in the .app file after right-clicking it. More than likely it'll be the same case with Cities: Skylines.

There are people who develop Applescripts so that mods could be easily installed in the right places with a double-click, but fortunately the CiM games weren't complicated regarding mod installation. Hopefully the mods that come out will have the same kind of drag-and-drop functionality even if the Workshop places the files in the wrong place for Mac and Linux users (it happens!).

I'm a Mac user so not a bad question and got me thinking.

Pretty sure that any mods on the steam workshop would be universal. However mods from fan sites could be different as you have to manually install/copy into correct game folder for them. Could just be a case of having to dig a little differently into the Mac game file directory compared to windows I hope.

Fingers crossed its simple and pain free on both OS'.

if the implementation of the mod would be managed by the game itself, there should be no problem - if the mods do not use such platform-specific things like an EXE for Win, etc.
