Same. Mods loaded sucessfully but no MOD UI in game to show they are active.

Found this Paradox support reply from Steam discussions, for someone having this issue

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us. I understand that the Paradox mods are not working and I appreciate all your efforts to make things right. I wanted to let you know that our team is already working on it for a fix. We're optimistic that it will be sorted out soon.

Your understanding is much appreciated!

Kind regards,
Neil Moore

I guess a hotfix will be out by end of week / start of vacation fixing this.

Strange that its not a more vocal issue, guess it is a case that not everyone is having this issue.

MOD initialization failed, means one of the MODS in the playlist is not compatible with the update 1.1.15f.

Unfortunately CS2 does not state which MOD failed on the main menu, @co_avanya , could you please provide feedback for a UI tip for players to know which MODS to remove when its has failed loading, it would make life easier for players to know which to remove off their playlist.

This is a different issue to what others are reporting further below, where all MODS loaded sucessfully, but not showing in a new/loaded map. To clarify MODS are loaded and showing options for the individual MODS in the menu.

Just wanted to clarify this observation.

I had this problem and got it functioning. What I did: Reinstaled the game. Deleted mu AppData folder (dont do this without backuping your saved games). Deleted my mod list and created a new one with only a few mods and than I instaled a few more.

This made the mods apear in game.

(sorry for the english)

This is the issue I have. The mods at loaded, working with hot keys, but the yo does not show the options. For example the extra options you get when placing a road with anarchy are just gone. Yet when I turn on anarchy with the hot key, the indictor tells me it’s working. I specifically went into anarchy’s settings and asked the icon to appear on my cursor when active. The ui seems to be broken. But the mods work.

I also tested the 529 tiles mod. So long story short I can change the settings of the mods and the hot keys work, but they do not appear in the ui. Spent over an hour tying to fix it. Nothing works.

To be clear: it is not all the mods that are doing this. So far the ones that don’t show up are anarchy, the traffic mods (I have the one to edit the lanes and the traffic lights), move it, find it, extended tool tips, the one that adds units and degree information when placing roads and paths (which could also be extend tool tips, idrk), the line tool, tree adjustor, and zoning adjustor. My assets are loading, I have lots of decals and asset buildings.

One the I know is partially broken is the water features one. It will allow me to place water sources, but I can not edit them in any way. Normally I can adjust their size, height, etc, but I can no longer do that.

Seems like anything that uses the tool bar in anyway doesn’t work. Anything that can be placed does work. Anything the adjusts the simulation works.

I’ll try to update more tomorrow about what specific ones aren’t working.

Hiya! I'm sorry to hear mods are not working as they should. It would be very helpful to have your logs when investigating this. We'd like both the Player.log and zipped Logs folder found here:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II

So for mods to work again, i delete game from steam , app data folder then reinstall game, create new playset, and download mods again , this is anoying and time consuming, but for me was the only way.

My solution: I had still installed Gooee and two other mods that were broken. Although they were disabled via Skyve, it obviously affected my game. After removing completely from pdx mods, everything works fine. :)

For me its the ExtraLib mod that is broken I keep getting an error that it wont load, and therefore all the mods are down for the count. The author says he's fixed it but clearly its not fixed in a way that my machine loads it. About to try the more dramatic uninstall reinstall route.

It may be because I did a total uninstall/reinstall, and opted to follow others suggestions and deleted the whole Cities Skylines II folder in between to get a super fresh install (I did save one of my cities), but I dont explicitly see a player.log, but I see a folder called Logs with a handfull of 1-3kb files in them. I did let the game fully redownload all my subscribed mods and i did launch the city for a couple minutes since the reinstall which is how I know I still can't use any mods right now either.

Maybe it helps someone: in my case the GOOE mod was the issue. unsubscribe the mod and delete the GOOE folders in
AppData/LocalLow/Colossal Order/Cities Skylines II/Mods
AppData/LocalLow/Colossal Order/Cities Skylines II/ModsData

Then the icons for Move it, Find it etc. will appear (if you use these mods).
