Which mod is the best for EU2? (longer playtime, no terra ingontio and so on...)

The most popular mod is certainly AGCEEP. But since you ask for longer playtime and no terra incognita, I don't think you can do better than WATKABAOI. And no, I don't know why everybody has to name their mods with long strings of letters. :p

something very original, for someone bored with the standard historical mods would be "interegnumm"; a complete diffrent setting, diffrent random events, ahistorical events and paths. would certanlly be an experience for someone that have never played it before.

Do you prefer "Advanced Grand Campaign - Event Exchange Project" or "World According To Kasperus African Beta Age Of Imperalism". Very long stories too... ;)

I am afraid that Interregnum (the alternative history mod I produce) doesn't stand for anything. Just, um, Interregnum.

Perhaps we should set ourselves the challenge of making in an acronym?

Intelligent Nebulous Technically Errudite Robustly Researched Entertaining Game that is a Neohistorical Uber Mod

But be careful with that mod. When I installed it and launched it, 30 events popped up right the first day.
Disgusting. I closed it and never played it again.
If this is the famous AGCEEP, than I like original Eu2 much more. It's not that much bothering.

What? You guys are able to bring great ideas for events etc., but when it comes to names, you can't bring nothing better, just chaining names of 2 or 3 mods together?
Where is some inovation?
Where is your brainstorming?

EDIT:
Ah, I see already my future. I'll be introducing PWMRUCT (Ptolemy World Map Roma Universalis Classical Times) :D

Agreed Karei (about AGCEEP) :) And I can't wait to see PWMRUCT in action xD Try saying that name ten times fast ;)

30 events? The first day? That sounds kind of like a bug. Did you ask about it in the AGCEEP forum?

Yeah, something like that popped up on me right after the start. I didn't asked on forums, because during the time browsing the forums, generally on various places it was confirmed, that AGCEEP has sometimes an unhealthy amount of events :D

So it didn't seem strange to me since it was AGCEEP

30 events the same day? Which version? Which country?

What do you mean with "right after the start"? The first day after launching a scenario? Checking scenarios before final version release is my job and I'm sure this is not the case... if AGCEEP is rightfully installed.
Only exception is 1648 scenario for Portugal and Marathas rebeliion (2 events at start). This is just a warning and we could have put rebels in the provinces at start but a player could just not notice them until it is too late...

We have indeed many events (around 10,000 and descriptions represent a 1,000 pages book) but we are very careful with not spamming players with events even in very complex sequences. Nevertheless, spam is very subjective, some could say more than an event per year is already spamming... and it depends if you like historical immersion or not.

About the name, this was a decision long before my inclusion as member and changing it now would be just like changing the name of a brand. ;)

Yes, it was only supposed to be a temporary name but then it just sort of stuck with us.

i fail to see what is wrong with that, and how does this could have a negative impact on the game play or replay value:confused:
if it would not be for events, that game would become absolutelly boring after 1550's.

the problem with "spamming" is becouse the code of event implementation, and thus miscklicking on the icons by pressing enter or worse. but that is something to be fixed in the eu2 code itself.

If you think having 30 events in a row is negative, then you must play with the Timurids in AGCEEP to see whats really bad.

In a previous version of AGCEEP (dunno if its still like that nowadays), i lost more then half of my empire forcefully via events, and had someone else turn into the Mughals, forever sealing my not so fortunate fate. Ended up with only 3 provinces, and with about 30 BB points.

Speak about fanatically high historical accuracy...

But the mod isnt all that bad. You got a lot of cool stuff on it. You have to give the AGCEEP high council that.

Does anyone know which mod is used in order to play the Holy Roman empire?

In the original game you can actually form Germany (with cores on every province in the HRE), but a true Holy Roman Emperor as country, I don't think it exists, even though it would be cool.
Just look at Austria as the HRE since the monarchs of Austria were Holy Roman Emperors for...a very long time.

Possibly the Mongol Empire Scenario (starts around the year 1200, if I remember correctly). You can find it in the mod list sticky in the mod forum.

EDIT: Didn't realize this thread was already in the mod forum. :eek:o
