Monarchs Editor
Version 1.1

I'm happy to present my program which helps me in mass-editing monarchs files for FtG. This task is probably not the most difficult as those files are pretty straightforward but it can be a nuisance to do so much copy-pasting in Notepad. I recently create monarchs for Medieval World mod (http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?t=442986) and after around 40 files it does make a difference. So I thought I'll share my work.

What extra value does the program offer?
  • Auto ID Numbering - so you don't have to manually change the number and risk repetitions
  • Auto Regnal Numbering - put "John # the Great" as a name and the proper number will be autoassigned
  • Auto Date Filling - for every new monarch (by default) start date equals death date of the previous one, which means half of data to be entered and meanwhile easy preview
  • Preview, Sorting and Reordering of all the monarchs
  • Date Parsing - enter/paste each date in a few possible ways and it will be analysed and converted to common format
  • Skills Randomisation - handy for ahistorical monarchs
  • Validation - check for most common errors (still very rudimentary)

The program can open and save files for For the Glory, Europa Universalis II and Europa Universalis.

There's a manual included with the program.

I'm pretty content with the current functionality but I may add more features for ver. 2.0 sometime in the future.

Thanks in advance for suggestions, bug reports, etc.! :)

i would like to host this file on my website if you need space;)

Well, I didn't have any problems with their service, which is maybe not very quick but at least free. And they even solved one problem I had with my webpage very quick.

But if it could create any problems, thanks for the tip and your offer, martmol. For now I think I'll be using forum attachments as the program is very small.

Version 1.1 is a good opportunity for this :)

EDIT: Aaa, I see, I may not post attachments in this forum. A pity for 35 kB file.

That's more than cool ^^
