This might sound silly, but have you tried to close the game and even Steam, and then re-login anew?
Did you try and repair the files?
This looks like a loading/display issue... maybe adjust the resolution?

I have tried repairing files and re-installing CK2; that's what led to the panel disappearing as it was originally slimiting me to the first six challenges (up to Shajar). @PDX-Nicou I've been unable to help this person at all, I'm afraid. the one advance is that when they tried the game on another machine the problem was still there, as it seems connected with their Steam or Paradox account. Do you know anything about how that side of it works?

After investigation with the teams, our script & connections look normal and are fully working.
The problem might come from users connections to the server, possibly disk write/read issues, or running a mod that was marked as incompatible.
An antivirus might block the connection to fully establish as well.

The server supporting the game and the Monarch's Journey. You can't interact yourself with it, but there might be something on your computer preventing the data to flow seamlessly.
@PDX-Nicou FYI this user tried the game on a different computer and had the same problem, so it seems unlikely to be a local disk issue for instance.
@Geodynamis was that second machine in the same network as the first one? That is, is is going through the same network connection to the internet? If so is it possible to test from some other location please?

Is there any reason why I might have had access to the function once in the past, but am unable to reach it now despite no major changes to my system? (that I'm aware of)
I do not have any access to another network. That said, I tested it with my router's firewall turned off, and that did not alleviate the problem.
Perhaps a Windows update has changed how its firewall works? Just guessing at this point.

I was thinking of a friend or relative nearby you could do a test installation on? We are really struggling for clues on this one!
Both machines were connecting through my home router. I just tested running CK2 with both firewalls deactivated, and the Monarch's Journey panel did not appear.
Edit: wait, I only turned off IPv4 firewall, does this game use IPv4 or IPv6?

Any updates on this? I am having the same problem. Yesterday i was playing some Monarch's Journey, today it is missing. I tried clearing the cache first. Reinstall doesn't seem to fix it either.
Windows 10, no mods.
Anyone have any idea what could be wrong?
edit: also, in case you wondered, I am using 3.3.3 (SOHY) and turning off the firewall didn't help

I know CK3 came out. I don't own CK3. Back in October when Monarch's Journey started, they said that they wouldn't add more once CK3 came out, but the existing challenges would remain available. Did they change that? That would explain why it seems to be missing. But I would be pretty pissed if they removed a feature from CK2 just because its sequel was out. I like having the game suggest specific characters to play with specific goals. I can't be the only one who still wanted to play the rest of those...
They announced recently, perhaps last week, that the challenges would be going away. I agree it would have been nice for them to stay.
