Monday Game II - 20:00 to 23:00 CET

Germany coped well with the Polish surprise attack and soon annexed them. France was conquered too and now we have a lull for the winter of 1939.

Fiendix took over the SU but won't be able to continue next week. If Traks returns he will find that his naval construction program has been interrupted ... :)

I am always trying to keep my part of promise. It's just my HDD is pretty broken, and I couldn't find CD with HOI2 in time to reinstall. We'll see next week. What Fiendix said about my SU development?

Fiendix didn't particularly like that you apparently were building ships. Understandably so I'm afraid, because the SU will need everything it has to build a decent land army.

AI Nat. Spain quietly worked on its future and was left in peace. I suppose it's good news for you that France has been conquered by the Germans ;) .

I was? I really don't remember, so maybe. Well, let's wait for next Monday and get on with battle.

Judging by last week there is very good chance we could use some new permanent players. So if you show up at 19:00 CEST (17:00 GMT) we'll see what nation(s) are open and you can get a spot.

You were not the only player playing a major country missing last week, so I wasn't specifically referring to the SU. Actually I'm glad you can join us again tonight.
 
Tonight we had:

Wishing Well = USA
Mr Sljivovic = Italy
Andrew = UK
Herodotus = Germany
Traks = Soviet Union
VeGe = Romania
Pibe250 = Finland / Nat. China
Mr G = Brazil
TRIS = Japan

Italy and Japan joined the Axis and invaded the Middle East together. Germany attacked the SU and has just taken Moscow. USA declared war on Germany and joined the Allies. Nat. China started an offensive into Manchuria and annexed Mengchukuo.

The date is now early 1940...

Here are two picture I have, the first one was old and in the diplomatic screen so I improvised a little. If you want I can go in depth about the game. The first map shows empires, that mean Italian puppets are under Italian flag (all of Middle East is Japan Puppet)

Hey hey hey, nobody annexed Moscow. It is battle of Moscow, now I just need to surround and destroy Paulus's army :)
It was a miracle how I survived, losing about half of army in the beginning.

In south Romania and Italy troops are threatening Baku and Ukrainian steppes.

Spain has been played by a human intermittently and has joined the Axis. An assault on Gibraltar was attempted but it was repulsed. Royal Marines have seized the Canaries and there have been several air and naval battles in the area.

Good to hear that. It must be tough for Gibraltar defenders, both land and air. And navy too, though I'm sure Royal Navy rules the waves.
