I suppose we'll have to connect directly. Can somebody confirm that Mr. Sljivovic will not play tonight (preferably himself)? If not who's going to host instead, Cyril or Wishing Well? If Mr. Sljivovic can't make it tonight, anybody willing to sub a healthy Italy?

I'm a relatively new player to HOI2, especially for MP, but I do have the basic knowledge thus will not screw up the game.

I'm pretty much available at all time, as I work one day and get four days off.

I would like to join the next game you guys are going to play, please let me know the time. I don't mind using smaller countries.

My MSN is tttcomrader@hotmail.com

Yahoo: tttskywalker
AIM: tttcomrader

Thank you!

Nice schedule for work you have. If you're interested in joining an ongoing game I think you can join us tonight at 19:00 CEST (17:00 GMT).

Mr. Sljivovic

Hooray we have a game. :)

Since we did not play last week you should have the latest save as I think you were our host. You got to determine your IP address and post it here so we all can connect to you.

The players were:

Herodotus - Germany
Mr Sljivovic - Italy
Berserker - Japan
Andrew - UK
Wishing Well - USA
Sun_shines - Nationalist China
Grabah - Brazil

We played quite late and so it was a long session, reaching late 41. There was some excitement as Germany invaded Scotland. The RAF and RN soon drove off their transports though and the two sides face each other in Northern England. Oh and Japan invaded California too but that didn't seem to matter so much :)

Andrew

Hmm, quite intereting events you had there. Any official propaganda? I'd like to hear both US/UK and GER/JAP leaders commenting events in the US West coast and the Scotland :)

In all honesty USA had the plan to deploy more armored forces on its coasts, but I failed to notice that their completion got bugged. Those divisions only got available after a rehost, at least two months later than they should have.
C'est la vie...

As I recall Brazil is expanding its Empire.

After a paradrop into an empty Dunfermline and after the follow up of Guderian's elite Panzers sailing into port several naval battles took place. Germany lost 7 CV's, 6 TP's, all its naval bombers and some smaller ships in exchange for 5 UK CV's, 10 BB's and an unknown quantity of smaller ships. During those battles I managed to get about 45 divisions ashore, losing none at sea. So all in all that's not bad from an Axis point of view. Helped by 12 US divisions going out of supply for reasons unknown to me, I managed to conquer the whole of Scotland. In Northern England there is a stalemate now.

The Japan player for last session, Berserker, was not short of courage and after conquering Hawaii, he has landed in San Diego. I think he managed to conquer about 10 to 15 provinces. Time will tell whether this will remain a success or not.

Lord Ederon, reading back a few posts, am I right to assume that you'll rejoin us next week? If that's the case and taking into account you've already played on the Axis side (BTW Gibraltar not taken yet) would you like to play Italy? Mr. Sljivovic is going on a two month holiday, so we need a new player for them.

IIRC Argentina and Paraguay were annexed.

Thanks for additional info WW and Hero. It must have been exciting session :)

Yes, you're right. It is 95% sure according to myself.

I'm ok with Italy as with anything you give me to handle. In that case, I'd be grateful if Mr. Sljivovic can tell me whether he has any middle/long-term strategy that would be worth to follow. It'd make things much easier for me.

Send me PM if so please, thanks :)

We ended the session in 4 players, namely:

Wishing Well - USA
Andrew - UK
Herodotos - Germany
Lord Ederon - Italy

We played till mid '43. Nothing obvious happened in Europe, Africa and Middle East except annexation of Finland by Norway. On the other hand, Far East was witness of dramatic changes. After US counteroffensive on US mainland Japan was forced into defensive position there. But more importantly, Nationalist China with support of mostly UK fleet landed on Japan main island. Japanese leadership didn't inform its alliance partners about this problem immediately, rather committed traditional suicide (hara-kiri, not sure of spelling). It was too late when German and Italian advisors came to help solve the situation in Japan. Hordes of bloodthirsty Chinese were already deployed on island. Soonafter Tokyo fell and future of Japan is questionable.

However there is still Japanese force in the US. I'm not sure of its navy though.

We were 5 at the end tonite. That is:

Wishing Well - USA
Andrew - UK
Dan - Nat. China
Herodotos - Germany
Lord Ederon - Italy

We played till end of November '42 as I believe.

This session country of rising sun was defeated and annexed by Nationalist China. Allies now have one enemy (and theater) less. Germany attempted to open another front on British Isles and in late August made combined para/naval invasion of Portsmouth. However will of British men defending their soil was against anything like that. Germany was forced to pull back and leave its plans for now.

In the Africa, Italian adventurers were discovering beauties and horrors of Centeral African jungles while trying to get bannana (or get to the Bannana?). They started their expedition in the end of last year and now, when they were few steps to yearned-for Bannana, they met unfriendly Americans claiming Bannana is theirs. So Italians turned back and returned home.

Some major battles were fought in Mombassa and shouthward to the Horn of Africa. Combined axis forces freed Mombassa and Assab, important naval and air bases in East Africa. Italy has now problem what to do with plenty of prisoners. It is possible to exchange them for prisoners Allies took during the course of war.

Junior officer of Italian navy prooved himself in battle, when submarine group led by himself together with Italian battlefleet, managed to sink American naval task force consisting of 2 carriers and more than 10 battleships without loosing single ship (sub). He's designated for highest Italian decoration.

Africa is aready witness of use of new weapon, so called Chinese Yellow rider. They are flooding western battlefields and are still coming, now when they have subdued Japanese.

Yes, that was a good session and it's quite an interesting game.

The Germans paradropped in Plymouth and were repulsed by a British mechanised counter-attack. They appeared to attempt a landing in Wales too but mountain troops held them back.

While these landings were being attempted the RAF and and RN sallied forth and there were major air and sea battles in the channel. The German U-boat force was shattered and the Luftwaffe driven back. The Channel is now English again.

But just as it seemed that the Allies had total naval superiority, the Axis burst out of the Red Sea and embarassed the USN. What now ...?

Manpower is getting to be a problem - I suppose that's because of the bug which is causing some players to mod the game. It's no big deal though, IMO, as you have to run out of manpwer at some point anyway. Unless you're China ... :)
