I'm looking to upgrade my monitor. I'd like a 32" screen, not ultrawide, but is 4k resolution necessary - or at least more than just a "nice to have" - for the type of games I play (mostly strategy, but with some sims thrown in)? Would I actually *need* a graphics card update as well - current is a NVIDIA GeForce 750 Ti.

I am by no means an expert...but, for strategy or sim games, I think 4K is nice to have.

And i do think a GPU upgrade will have to be considered, even if not necessarily for a 30's series.

I play on HD (ie 1080p) only and I think this is totally sufficient.
I really don't get all this 4k "need" *shrug*
