Treasury system! Not the most obvious thing to be most excited about for this next DLC (especially as it will be part of the free patch, but the stuff that uses it the most won't be) but oh man here is somewhere we can have all our valyrian steel swords and dragon eggs!

And Sects and Cults!!! These are exciting! I hope to see the Maesters and Septons get fleshed out the way we saw the Maesters utility get fleshed out with Reapers! Plus the possibility of R'hllor cults in Westeros seeking to replicate what Melissandre did with Stannis could be cool.

With the possibilities of having sects within a religion, variations of faith among the bigger religions can be represented now as well.

If I recall didn't the Iron Islands have a king who tried to add the drowned god as an additional god to the faith of the seven?

Would love to see that as an option.

The guy saw the Drowned God as the Stranger, in other words, the aspect of death in the faith of the seven. If I remember well it ended with a dead king.

There is a lot of potential for cults.

I can imagine there being one based around the admiration of Old Valyria. It could potentially give one the opportunity to get a dragon egg or valyriam artifacts.

Another could be an Old Gods heresy, that has more in common with those north of the wall and seems to maintain and revive the traditions of the first men.

I wouldn't get too excited about the treasury system just yet. As mentioned in the thread there is no way to actually see the items anyone else has, only the summery of any effects they may have.

As such, there would be little way with the system, so far as we know, to track items like valyian swords through the ages or see at a glance who has what item.

Now there might be ways to work around it, but while a very very cool system, it might not be a good replacement for the one the mod currently uses.

This mod already has the Intrigue option "Show Valyrian Steel Swords" so I assume that that would only need minor tweaking to track them in treasuries

Yes but at the moment you cannot look on a character sheet and see what artifacts they have is what the devs have said, hopefully that gets changed.

Right I just thought by that they meant you couldn't pull up their portrait and see and not that there was no way to find out at all. My modding attempts are so bad I haven't even attempted to put anything out, but I guess we'll have to wait and see how hard it may or may not be to link the intrigue event to the treasuries instead

I would love to see the Faith getting more fleshed out because by now it's a very mechanic religion (the fact that the Hight Septon doesn't even have a NAME does not help).
Not the fault of the mod, but without dialogues, this feature sort of stands out.
But If I'm not wrong (it has being some time since I last saw the developer's diary) monks & mystics won't really flesh out so much, as for the entirety of Christemdom they would be adding only two monastical orders, and will be way more focused on secret societies wanting to take over the world or something.
It could work for the Maester's secret plans and such, but I'm not sure it can be tweaked into dozens of orders.

At the same time, the book does go into a tangent to make clear there are monks devoted to specific aspects of the Seven, like the Brown Brothers who spend their lives working for the glory of the Smith, or the Silent Sisters, who are the wives of the Stranger. It stands to logic there are at least seven orders inside the Faith, doesn't it?

To be honest, each time a new update/DLC comes out I'm more excited about what it will bring to this mod then the original game.

The whole sects mechanic looks to be one of the most useful things for ck2 IMO regardless of mod. I can see it useful for the warhammer mod to reflect all the cults, I can see it useful to HIP/CK2+ to reflect the numerious monastic and religious orders of various faiths, I see it useful for GoT. The sect mechanic is adaptable for much and it is something I was waiting for a while to have. Its not perfect but it is useful and good IMO. :)

The Song of Ice and fire wiki doesn't list 7 orders of the faith, though arguably they should exist. The Brown brothers that you mention seem to be a term for monks that take vow of silence and work at septries. For a medieval world, the faith is largely unexplored. It is the one aspect of the world that I really wish he explored more in his works. I don't know if the team would create some non-canical orders but I wouldn't mind if they did.

Did everyone read that most recent update that talked about Demon Worshippers and the Assassins? Especially the Assassins being a mix of Secret Society AND Monastic order with a leader who could raise special event troops I am thinking these are going to be a LOT more flexible than we thought going in to this concept.

From the streaming seems like now you can open the inventory of other characters.
Indeed which is a very nice change, however having artifacts be visible on dead characters is still rather important and something that I have not yet seen mentioned if it is possible.
Also we would really need some artists to design icons for all the artifacts and currently we have a solid 0 artists.
