Ok; Software:
Windows 2000 5.00.2195 (service pack 1)
256 meg ram

20 gig hard drive 5 gig free
Norton Anti-virus 7.50.846 running
hot sync for franklin running
Directx 8 running

Hardware:

3dforce B-16/B-32 plus video card with 64 meg ram on it

Creative labs AWE64 sound card
Intel Pentium III 500
I have both a CD-RW and a CD-rom (switched back and forth - no difference)
3com etherlink XL 10/100 ethernet card
on a local NT domain

version 1.07c seems to run ok (so I'm going back to this version - but just want to provide info for ya'll)

I have had failures repeatedly, and have saved games to move a long. but on Spain_December_1497 on December 7, 1497 the machine pauses - the screen goes black and I get my win2k desktop back.
I don't have to press anything. If I pause the game it seems to be ok - until I even so much as look at building a manufacturing facility in my capital (I couldn't build one - its too soon)
building a fortress anywhere kills it too.
is this helpful?

It started crashing, I uninstalled it, installed from CD (1.07c) and although I can't play that particular GC saved game a new one runs through 1500 - no crashing.
I then upgrade that running version, again, reload that old saved game and crashing begins again.

I'll let this go now and go back to the install 1.07c
But that's everything I know.
Thanks guys,
good luck!
