ok... Now i've started Iron Cross 5 times, reinstalled it 3 times and I still have to get through a polish war.

1. Infrastructure, How many points get made for each infrastructure unit?

2. does increasing the infrastructure in a province with stuff in it, like say energy, rares, metal and manpower.. If i increase the infrastructure do those things increase as well, just like it would in AOD 1.4?

3. what is the correct checksum for IC with revision 1.1 installed? is it LPWZ?

4. Why is Iron Cross with or without revision 1.1 the ONLY hoi series game that i have ever found to have some of the cheats intermittently work?

For example: "nofog" works all day long, So do the cheats for "energy, rare, metal, oil, supplies, manpower, money transports, escorts, event 1009, event 1013.. i'd imagine for every cheat except.... "event 1011 and event 1012" those two event codes work for as many tech slots I have to use at any given time. that is it!

If I have 7 tech slots, then i get to only utilize the event code 1012 SEVEN times then i get no indication that i even typed in the cheat code. in AOD and other hoi game it would at least tell you that there is nothing available to use the cheat on.

The same thing with event code 1011, it works for a bit like 5-7 blueprints, they does nothing at all.

But wait it gets better: now if I cant get them to work with new techs being researched, i can get them to work if i save the game and then quit the game and start the game again and then open up the saved game and then and only then can i use event 1012 on a new tech!

THAT IS SO WRONG!!!!! it's not funny at all :(

5. I know that in IC the tech slots are tied to actual IC, where-by in AOD the number of tech slots u can have is tied to percentaged IC (whatever it's called).

It's april 34 in my current game and i have 106 factories, but only still have 5 slots available... How many factories do i need to have to get a 6th tech slot?

How many factories for a 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th tech slot?

oh and i did activate the utility that will change the number of tech slots to 10.

6. what country slider, the ones where you click on a province then click on the German flag and u get to the German page with the sliders on the right side, lowers the peacetime "consumer goods" amount?

I'm talking about the hawk one, standing army one, interventionism one.

7. Why is there no Options button on the start page like in AOD where we can tell the game that we want "full tech teams" and other stuff?

Also, AOD1.4 with the GAGA mod works great. SO does AOD 1.4 C.O.R.E. work great on the same machine as Iron cross is installed on. But Iron Cross doesn't work so well.

Devs please help??? I really do like your new game, but it seems that it doesn't want to work with me.

Also, i only play on normal/normal settings.

Thanks. I think i'll go play CORE for a day. Maybe someone will have some replies that will solve these questions so I can play IC, which i really want to!
 
AFAIK
1. infrastructure is in 5% increases upto a max of 300%
2. infrastucture increases commodities production, same as AoD
5. seems to be only max. 5 tech slots, so same as Arma - but with AoD research slider so after playing with this I put this upto 100% (on AoD with 10 TT I'd usually use 70-80%)
7. options are as normal at the start of the scenario load

Mikey1871, I have tried to help you with ESE to some extent the GDE issue your installation of IC with Rev 1.1 and other points of the game in the IC forum. I really dont know what else to do for you as I have pointed out how to fix or at least assume fixing your issues. Here are some responses again to your questions:

2) Yes infa affects your increase in resources in the province the more infa you build say in a high output resource province will make it increase greatly. Ex: Baku very rich in Oil for USSR as Italy in AoD 1.04 game I snagged that from Germany as I was in Persian and German AI did not get to the south fast enough, I built infa like 10 times I had about 300 oil producing in that province when I was done playing. Same should be for IC.

3) I gave you correct checksum even with screenshot Mikey, do you not believe me, its my game at home I am not making it up. :confused:

4) Cheats, I dont cheat I told you that a few times though I have tested the events on them in AoD 1.04 and have no problem stealing techs, increase Ind Effeciency, etc. There is a point in time you cant steal any techs if you took all of them from your enemies and I noticed in IC they took out some cheat events like increasing and decreasing tech team skills or maybe its a new ID number not sure, but I did Wiki this stuff on AoD/HoI2 about 3 months ago to find out event ids and there values in the game purely for informative reasons not to cheat my way to victory! :D

5) Once more its been explained by me to you about this and I think some other threads mention this as well and developers have even commented to me in a thread that tech teams are 5 for IC based upon no research dates like AoD has or HoI2 Arma I guess (dont have latter game). There is a program that installs with IC over AoD that can allow you to change this but again its based on your "base ic". Those changed with IC install compared to the AoD game so if you want super USA nuking you by 1943 or earlier, go ahead increase 10 slots and build tons of industry as Germany just to get the slots you want because you will only get 5 to start period, while USA will have 10 and England 6 or 7. Every 20 increments in "ic" i believe nets you another tech slot so at 200 ic you have 10. I could be wrong but no further comment on this sorry.

6) Dont actually know what the question is but your Diplomacy sliders as I call them or Country I guess determine extra IC, Dissent, Manpower, Org increases, Upgrade times, cabinet members to choose from, etc, etc. All play important roles for the country you play, this is a must to know otherwise you could be just wasting resources and ic over time as well as other factors.

7) You cant have other mods installed with IC well not to my knowledge many some that will change the unit icons or photos of leaders or minor graphic changes like sprites or maybe counters too. So if you have those mods loaded when you install IC there is a major issue with reasons why you cant seem to play like everyone else. I dont think you are doing this but seeing how you are the only person on the forum having such a hard time while others are not makes me wonder what or how or where you are installing the IC and its revision at.

Overall Mikey you are okay dude, but sometimes I think you might just get frustrated too easy and then get mad at things that are not working on your end, thats understandable but devs and forum members can only do so much, the end user has to have some tech savvy in the end to fix their own issues or troubleshoot the process that is causing your game to be unplayable by your standards.

I dont know what the devs can do to fix this issue for you, I have done all I can and you still are posting the same issue again and again. I know I am not a dev thus I may not qualify as an expert, but my game runs fine once I figure out any shortcomings I might be doing wrong. Pretty much is a simple install and run of the game its not rocket science and the amount of issues you seem to be having seem to be end user issues. Not calling you names here or downplaying your dilemna but something is amiss on your end that I dont think you are aware of it yet. Sorry man thats all I can do for you! Good Luck!:cool:

YOu either didn't get the point of questions 3 and 4. in Q3 i was asking the devs if LPWZ is the correct checksum for having the revision installed.

In Q4, the point is that just two events, namely 1011 and 1012 aren't working as they should. A "cheat" should work every time all the time. They are made to check to see how the game functions before it is released. At least that's what they were intended to be used for back-in-the-day.

If i have 5 tech slots, put 5 techs in the slots to research, then use the 1012 cheat to get blueprints for those 5 techs being researched. once those 5 are done, then i put 5 more new techs in the slots to be researched. The game is supposed to allow me to use the event 1012 to get the blueprints for those 5 new techs. IN all of my Iron Cross games that doesn't work. the only time the event will work is if I save thegame and then quit the game and then go back into the game. Then and only then can I get the event code to fire and give me the new techs being researched bluewprints.

That is not how the cheats are supposed to work. Therfore, there is some wieerd problem with my copies of Iron Cross that I get to download from GamersGate.

Q7, Yes you can. you just have to download 3 separate AOD games and put them in different folders in your Program files folder. Then they will all work independantly of each other as long as when u have them installed you go into the game folders and find the "AOD launcher" and rename it to show the new mods name. such as for AOD 1.4 with the GAGA mod.. that is called "GAGA mod" and the shortcut goes directly to just that mod.

That is why Iron Cross is in it's own separate folder called "Iron Cross mod".
