More random crashes with 1.07b?

Did You folks experience random crashes somewhat more often after upgrading to 1.07b (especially with faster timescale settings)? I did, but I´m not quite sure, whether this is due to my 'hacking adventures'. Please confirm/deny with a short reply. I need this info, because I´m about to search through all my files for typos...

Hacking a scenario with new id's, adding countries is very crashprone.

The slightest mistake of a province id can make a very hard to find crashbug.

As a said in the other post I am only getting crashes now I am playing with your patch Hartman. It was stable before.

I can really only say anything about the 1.06 beta tester version which I have on my pc.

I let the game run non stop throughout the entire campaign and it didn't crash once, quit surprised me quite a bit, I can tell you..

Johan is right, editing the files can make the game go quite mental.

I still experience random crashes, but then they occurr with only a couple of years between them..
But in the beginning with the new patch the game crashed three times playing as england..
only in a couple of minutes.

Thanx for Your responses, folks. I went over the files of the 'Improved GC' and .... well, I don´t want to bore You . The result is: I have prepared a new overhauled version including Ethiopia and Vietnam, which didn´t crash even one single time when I run the game on high speed from 1492 - 1792.

Recently upgraded from 1.05->1.07b (Win 98). Have never made any other tinkering in the game. Get crashes every now and then, several times directly after making a peace agreement!!

I think on the stability side that 1.05/1.06 are superior to 1.07. Maybe Paradox should keep back issues of its patches on the website so that if you have problems with a new patch, you can get an old one. It is the side effect of caring programmers who miss sleep to crank out a new patch every few weeks that the patches are unstable. Too bad.

The game still crashes with the 1.07se patch.
Doesnt matter if it is multiplayer(LAN 4 players) or on a singleplayer campaign.

It seems to happen on a random basis, but the first 20-30 years are usually crash free.

In my game with 1.07b SWE I play with autosave each year: Nearly always when the game crashes it has missed to autosave. Other then that their are very few
crashes.
