I know Jopi has a similar AAR further down the page, but I couldn't help myself! I've been wanting to do this since about halfway through my German AAR (God rest its soul)

Cheats: Only to begin the WorldWar and get rid of the 100% dissent.

Rules:
1. No Suing for Peace, no puppeting, only annexation.
2. Tech rushing is totally legal
3. Keep any nationalistic flame wars to a minimum, please. You don't have to be angry that the USA is so much better than your own country. ;) :D
4. Potshots against any country will be given, even against the US.


And now, please rise for the national anthem of the United States:

Just make sure Mexico doesn't get the upper hand.
 
don't DoW iraq, it will take months of fighting ;)
 
I'm interested to see if there's any difference in AI's actions. How many months you take preparation time? An easy way to get the war going is to copy the selectable nations list in the save file and paste it to the Axis line. Then load the game as Germany and DoW USA. Save, and load as USA. Well, anyway, good luck to you.

Chapter 0: Prologue

April 2, 2004
New York City, York Province, Terran Empire

The grey-suited SS men broke down the door of the Manhattan Research Institute. Scanning the area, the stone-faced men spread out through the building, smashing doors, searching for the scientist they'd been given a tip on. One SS man started when a bright bluish light erupted from behind a door. Calling his teammates over, they smashed into the room just in time to see an indistinct human figure laugh at them before vanishing.


January 2, 1936
Oval Office, White House, Washington DC, USA

President Roosevelt sits behind his desk, perusing the latest reports on the US economic situation. Suddenly, a thunderclap and a burst of lightning appeared in the otherwise empty room. A man clad in a white lab coatfaded into the President's vision.

Roosevelt, flabbergasted, stuttered "Wha- what are you!?"

The man smiled. "It worked!" he said, almost to himself. Then he turned to the President and saluted. "Sir, you are President Franklin Roosevelt, correct?"

"Yes, I am. But who the hell are you?!"

"Sir, I am from the year 2004, 68 years in the future, and I am here to prevent something horrible from taking place."

Roosevelt would normally have called in the Secret Service to toss this man into the yard, but that fantastic appearance had certainly swayed his opinion. He motioned for the man to continue.

"Sir, in 7 months, on August 2, 1936, a madman will release a toxin into the atmosphere. Every person in every nation on Earth will fall under his control. Except the United States."

Roosevelt's brow furrowed. "Why were we spared?"

"You weren't. Once he found out the toxin had no effect on America, he forced the entire world to declare war on you. The tiny American army was swept aside and this nation collapsed by December of 1936. Technically, Hawaii held out until May of 1937, but after that, the world was his, to do with as he pleased." The man pulled a newspaper out of a pocket in his coat. "You were hung on July 4, 1937."

Roosevelt's eyes widened as he took in the image of his own death. Mouth dry, he looked up. "What can I do?"

"Sir, the United States is potenially the mightest nation on Earth. You will have to marshal the American people to acheive victory. Here, I have some things to help you." Agian he reached into his coat and pulled out papers, this time plans for powerful weapons.

"Mr. president, this will be your ace-in-the-hole." he said, placing a specific paper in front of Roosevelt. "A single bomb, powerful enough to destroy an entire city and devastate a landscape."

Roosevelt stared directly into the stranger's eyes. "You expect me to use such a weapon?"

"You will have to, sir. This madman is worse than any you now know. He will order the nations under his control to fight to the death. The USA will have to defeat every nation on Earth."

Roosevelt was shocked, but doing his best to hide it.

The stranger saw it and nodded. "You'll pull it off, Mr. President. The United States will not lose this time. Now, my time here is up. I most likely will not see you again. Good luck, sir." he said as his body grew indistinct and faded away once more.

Roosevelt watched the stranger vanish, then reached into his desk and pulled out a map of the United States with all military units marked. "Shit" was his only comment.

April 2, 2004
New York City, York Province, Terran Empire

The man faded back to his home time just as the last SS man was leaving the room. The SS agent, startled, called his teammates back. The man was filled with bullet holes almost before his body came fully back.

But he had one last surprise for the SS agents. As his body fell, his thumb mashed a hidden button. A loud buzzing filled the room.

"You think all is fine,
you think all is well..."

He choked on blood.

"You can kiss my ass,
I'll see you in HELL!"

The entire building flashed into flame and exploded, shattering windows throughout New York City.
 
Wow, so you mean America will save the world by pacifying the belligerents? Fascinating...

I like this AAR so far. Update soon.
 
Very interesting ARR...Hmmm, some sort of posion gas will effect the whole world? Very in interesting... :)
 
January 3 - August 2, 1936
Earth

Two days after the man from the future arrived, President Roosevelt issued several executive orders that carried his New Deal to new heights. Organizations like the CCC swelled in number, and the US economy began to recover.

What was going on behind the scenes, though, showed that FDR was taking the warning seriously.Many of the young men who volunteered were almost trained in military form during their time with the CCC and other programs. Slowly but steadily, the US Army began to swell in infantry divisions.

Roosevelt also deployed the few official divisions to guard duty in Washington DC and New York (((I changed both provinces to Urban terrain))). The single cavalry division remained near the Mexican border, and the US Navy was whipped into shape.

Meanwhile, in Germany, a madman was preparing to seize power....

Berlin, August 1, 1936

A tall, broad-shouldered man with a sharp black mustache/goatee strided into the office of Adolph Hitler. Hitler looked up, his blue eyes firey. "What is the meaning of this, Savage?"

"This." Savage said coldly as he whipped out a pistol and shot Hitler clean through the heart. The Fuehrer choked and died, slumped backwards in his chair.

Vandal Savage reached into his pocket and pulled out a vial of a greenish gas. "Soon, very soon, it will all be mine....."


August 2, 1936

It rose like a vast green tide, sweeping the entire planet in a single day. Flowing outward from Berlin, the gas settled over every nation in the world. Within 6 hours, the entire planet had fallen under Vandal Savage's control, every nation bending to the will of the mastermind in Berlin. All but one....


The news of the World Alliance hit the US hard. All the leaks from the White House had been proven to be true, and President Roosevelt was swiftly returned to office, having been deemed insane when he revealed the future in a radio broadcast.

FDR immediately began ordering the US Army pumped up. The few protesters were silenced by the mere fact that all other nations were now in an alliance, leaving the US totally undefended. Roosevelt pulled out his ace-in-the-hole, deploying several surprise infantry untis from the secret reserves. Once again, the protest over the secret military buildup was silenced by the situation.

Berlin, August 3, 1936

Savage was practically screaming at his aide. "What?! What do you mean the United States was unaffacted?! How is this possible?!"

The aide shook in his boots. "Sir, we think it may have something to do with the Americans' diet. It primarily consists of fast food, soft drinks, and something called 'cheez puffs'.... "

Savage growled. "Whatever, I don't care! We shall declare war and crush them the old-fashioned way! Begin the invasion of America!"

USA, August 3, 1936

The Declaration of War galvanized the US. Consumer goods needs dropped swiftly as people began saving resources and foodstuffs. The army enlistment shot through the roof as millions of young men showed up to defend their country.

All in all, President Roosevelt's speech in the early morning of August 4, 1936, summed it up:

"We shall not give in, we shall never surrender or back down!. This is a new war, unlike any in history; it is a war for the destiny of the entire planet. We shall hold firm against the aggressors, we shall not ever collapse, we shall fight until the American people in their righteous might win through to absolute victory! Let us therefore conduct ourselves that our descendents a thousand years from now shall look at our glorious flag and this glorious time, and say with the deepest conviction, 'This was their finest hour!' "

America's unhealthy diet saves the day as excess fat molecules harmlessly absorb the mind control gas! :D Go go go FDR!
 
Vandal Savage?!?!?!?! Isn't that the guy from Justice League that took over Germany and kicked the world's ass because he got help from himself from the future?!?!? No matter, lets see how you kill the "invincible" man *wink wink* :)

I think I saw part of a special on that, but he froze Hitler, instead of shooting him.Great AAR, very humorous how America survived the mind control gas.I'll be watching this with interest.
