I recently updated to Windows ME. I then installed EUII, and the new patch. I have a Gateway Pentium III 500 MHz, 128 MB RAM, nVidia 4400 video and SoundBlaster PCI 64D cards.

Now the sound is garbled and the mouse is sticky and the game is choppy.

Can anyone help?

There have been some reports of sound problems with SB cards, so try playing with No Music and see if that helps. However I think your main problem is ram, 128mb is the minimum and you'll get much better performance from 256. I suspect your mouse problem is just the machine being so busy swapping ram out to disk that the mouse cursor is not updating quickly.

Go to control panel, settings, system, performance, file system:
- Where it says "System restore disk space use", put that to minimum.
- Typical role of this computer: Network Server
- Read-ahead optimization: Full
- Run scandisk, and then defrag your hard-drive
- Upgrading to 256mb ram won't hurt, and your global system performance will increase, not just EU 2.

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your sound card, video card and for your motherboard/chipset.
