Mouse problems in Windows 7

I just built a new Windows 7 (64) machine and l loaded
doomsday and Armegeddon on it. I use a Logitech G9x USB mouse.

For some reason, the mouse will not function when attempting to change
options at the beginning of a game. Are there any keystrokes that can
accomplish the same? Also, the mouse appears to pulse as the game progresses. Is this a Windows 7 issue and can the setting be adjusted
or is it a game-mouse issue with Windows 7?

Any help would be kindly appreciated!

Try opening the Setpoint software and under General -> Pointers disable (or enable if currently disabled) Use OS Native drivers for pointer speed and acceleration.
