MP and Hamachi

Can someone tell me exactly how to use hamachi? I recently downloaded it, got my ip address and added a friend in my network. I tried getting on DD under LAN and we couldnt get it to work and then tried internet typing in my IP address from hamachi and that didnt work. Id really appreciate the help. Thanks

just click on the lan network instead of vnet.

are you sure both of you are logged into hamachi on the same chanel? Can you both speak (write) with each on hamachi? Did each person try his turn as host?
