MP Connecting Problem

I cannot join or host and get other people to join my MP games, I keep getting "Cannot find host" errors. I have a router and cable connection, I've tried Vnet, direct IP, and other games (Age of Empures), nothing works. I've added the channels for firewalls from the Mower's FAQ, still nothing. Counterstrike/HL seems to be the only MP game that works without problems. Is there anything I can do?

Do you have mods? All players must have the same files.

Maybe you should try contacting the game companies technical support people. I have heard of not being able to play one or two games but not being able to play MP in basically every game, bummer

Ah, I fixed it. Turns out you have to reset the router after you change the channels. D'oh.

I however cannot even get to Vnet, it says that it cant connect to the base server, do i have the wrong address programed in?

It goes down over the weekends most times. Don't worry it will be back up soon.

HisMajestyBOB, I am happy that the problem is fixed. Also be glad it was only something simple like that instead of some complicated problem
