So i was playing this really fun LAN game with my cousin, and at some point, he paused the game to get something to snack. i learned some things about event scripting, and i was playing England. I made an event which let me inherit France, Brittany etc etc, bout 7 countries. it never works i thought, but it did.

This event wasnt written in my cousins EU version, so this would mean if one player cheats by editing events, the rest wouldnt notice. Is this possible in MP'ing over the net? If so, its very easy to cheat

So, lemme get this straight, you did an event and inherited a LOT of countrys, and it affected his game as well.... If this works in MP it sure does suck...

Yep, i created an event for my country (England), to for example inherit France. He came back and said, how come you suddenly own France???

Sadly, this works. This is why only the French player needs to have the corrected At the Walls of Paris event. I've known all this since you posted it elsewhere some time ago. :))) I suggest you delete this thread so that people aren't inclined to cheat.

I agree : this is Evil!

Well, this also means that if you downloaded the EEP or something, unpredicted things would happen. I suggest this thread to be a warning. If you MP, do it with a fresh EU2 install patched with 1.06.

And yes, i thought i asked it already... but i forgot :p

Perhaps this should be reported in the bug forum to make it fixed ¿ ?

It's in the moddir. As long as you don't go around copying or messing with things that aren't in the moddir the game really has no idea the EEP is on the machine.

Oh right, i forgot ye had to start EEP with a different shortcut :) sorry bout that :)

Anyone can win if they cheat; if people think they are clever and are somehow "beating" other people by doctoring the game, well they will hopefully not last long in MP circles.

I only cheat against the computer (rarely), but only to get back at it for cheating first!

(Hmmm, I wonder if people consider this obvious or rather naive.)

Both :D

Those who cheat, cant bare to lose. Its the part of the game which makes it fun, so they'll be off soon. :)
