Oh were only scratching the surface yet.

So, is BurningEgo the one that's causing some players to drop from here? if he was having a gamey attitude or cheating somekind then i don't see why the rest should pay, kick him out instead.

Not my thread, not my game, but maybe it would be a good idea to close this one? You can always discuss this on ICQ. Just my 2 cents... :eek:o

we all know our thread is the best, you doubt it. :p however it's worth fighting to save this one. I already recommended to restart a new one with the same roster (or almost the same  )

Yeah, I guess, you mustve realised that its easier to just ghost your country through rough times than to just leave the game and I congratulate you on this new insight, I dont think all hopes lost for you! Now if you could only get to the point where you actually have the balls to play when everything doesnt go your way Id be thrilled.

This is getting chronic Absolut. If i do something, its because i do it, if i dont, its because i dont.

Look, if i wanted to avoid fighting with you, i would have asked to get a ghost before session start. And even if i dont have to give you any satisfaction to why i had to be ghosted, i will give you one.

It was monday and i was playing in my parent's house. My mother had already complained about headaches during lunch, but that got agravated later on. She took a few pills (i think pills is the correct term in english), but it didnt do anything at all. So my father asked me to take her to the hospital (i am the only one that actually knows how to drive on this house...). I was speaking with Gamla and then i told him to tell everyone to ghost me, but since my mother was dressing up, i decided to join the game and ghost myself in the meanwhile.

I also decided to tell you to ghost me, not to sub me, because i know you would get probably some person very newbie to sub Venice, just to be raped. There are only 3 persons on this forum that i actually would allow to sub me: KJ, drake, and Tonio. Daniel too, but sadly he isnt amongst us anymore. But since i was totaly in a hurry i didnt even bother asking them anything.

Now, if you are wondering what hapened to my mother (very doubtful), she was suffering from tension (is this the correct term in english?), which was almost at 18. And the medic told us it shouldnt be higher then 12 specially at her old age. As it was, she was pretty close to get a cardiovascular problem, or worse - mental issues.

I just asked to be ghosted... God, what exploit, cheating, or gamey attitude is this... And i really had no chance to play, so please spare me.

Many games people ghost themselves and i never heard any problem about it. I remember Mulliman being ghosted while i had Gustav Vasa around on CC3 and i didnt complain about it either. And i know lots of times where i had very good leaders around and my enemies got ghosted, and i didnt complain, either.

Hope your mother gets better Ego, but please pardon me for this.

Don't you think that this statement will push your reputation down? Why do you suppose that there are only newbs not counting the above mentioned players in the forum? Also what makes you think that you are one such a player who can actually allow himself to only accept subs from the top players?

Also, I think Daniel's name should be mentioned in an erupting flamewar. Its just not right.

Now sorry if I joined flaming but I couldn't help myself. Please don't reply in case its an effort on stopping this.

EDIT: yeah i corrected the fatal mistake in my sentence about Daniel.

I dont. I didnt say that. I said i would only trust few people to sub me. That is diferent.

For example: HOG isnt a newbie (actually he is playing eu2 for ages and is a pro), but i didnt like the last time he subbed me. He just released a lots of vassals (about 7?) because my stab costs were high. :p

I complained heavily about his subbing, as i did to many others that always did everything i wouldnt do. Gaius Marius for example on CQS went totaly centralized by 1750 when i was going decentra. In such cases, i prefer to be ghosted, so i dont have to complain, or have my nation somewhat crippled.

that's not the main point. If everyone has reasonable doubts you cheated/had gamey attitude somekind, and you did in the past according to other thread, it'll be hard to believe your arguments (even if they're the truth). Still I don't care, If the majority doesn't want to play with you, reasonable or irrational, it's quite bad for you, because it means they have proves against you (rational), or they simply take it personal (irrational) although it's related to attitude and good manners that I care, and many do too.

This reminds me the funny story of the boy shouting "wolves wolves!" when they weren't comming just for personal entertainment making good people mad at him, Once wolves were comming for real, noone cared of his desperate demand for attention, because they thought the damn kid was kidding again, thus causing a social disaster by losing the whole flock (maybe the village starved that year :( ). I'll let you guess the moral of the story by yourself.

And yes, I'm a bit disappointed, the game may be closed and that doesn't make me happy at all. :(

Hehe. I never break rules - and that is what matters. While many people out there consider pillage, for example, an exploit, i do not (i did once, but i quickly changed my mind after i understood how it worked). And since it is not against the rules, i do it as i please. The same hapened in the other game you mentioned, however, with lag stab hits. And since they were not against the rules, i was free to do whatever i wished to.

It is very relative. On this game you are allowed to use the "100 ship exploration thingy", a thing that many consider an outright exploit. But if you are allowed per rules, who cares?

I do think, like someone else, that "Whatever is not in the rules is allowed". Hell, if the rules did not state pirate spamming wasnt allowed, you would see pirates spamming everywhere! Why should i keep being moral if there is always a filthy bastard that will gang you alongside half the world? As far as i dont break the rules, i dont care of what i do with the game engine tbh.

*sigh*

Well, this is it, I'm taking a break from EU2 MP's too. I don't re-schedule my afternoons to take this sh*t. I'm tired of starting campaigns just to be cancelled without even playing a 100 years.

I'm starting Med School in October and I thought it would be nice to have a last great game with one of the nicest gang of players I've ever met in these forums, but maybe is too much to ask. :(

No more EU2 for me. I think I'll try my luck as a writAAR from time to time.

Adios y gracias. :)

Jorge Alejandro.
