Just thought I'd post a heads up in here...

We are nearing the point where we will lock down all new events, feature additions, and such, and will then move towards final testing of the betas leading up towards the 1.05 patch. May I please request that if there are issues that you are experiencing in MP play that haven't yet been fixed and haven't recently been reported in the beta subforum that you do so again. There was one report recently about map issues (players have different province controllers on their maps) but otherwise I haven't read many reports at all about problems.

At any rate, I just want to make sure that we don't go to final pre-patch lock-down if there are outstanding MP issues that require fixing. If you aren't 100% sure that I know about one, start a new thread about it in the beta forum.

From my experience in MP, almost all CTD and weird issues in MP can be directly attributed to latency.

Unless Johan can think of a way to accelerate the data transfer or vastly reduce the data transfer, I don't know how much that can be helped except by having a good host and client machines with high RAM.
 
the crashes in MP seem to be pretty much the same for all P'dox games. I have seen no specific crashes related to MP (like the damn annex bug in Vicky :( )

CK MP crashed on me once when i clicked unit to mobilize 20 times....sure should have pressed it once but host was saving so it was lagging. :rolleyes:

You can also get a semi annoying, but relatively miniscule bug where if you click to mobilize more than once you get the main regiment mobilized, and then like fifty regiments of zero troops.

It's a weapon....confuse enemy with 0 troop regiments :) (50 of them)

Also a nice way to crash the host :mad: Nobody should do anything while the host is saving! In my experience that is caused by clients happily clicking and chatting, when the host machine is not communicating -> when the save is done the host is out of sync -> either the host, or all clients, or everybody crash.
