When I reload a saved game I can`t get up any shields and therefore not select my country and start playing. This happen also with the other players on the LAN.

Hey although I am no expert, I will try and help. First I have some questions just to clearify things.
1.Does this all happen after the screen says "unpacking game may appear as if the screen is frozen" and done all of that stuff?
2. Does your screen say no scenario chosen when you cant select a shield?
3. Have you tried running the game in SP, and seeing if you can choose a shield through there?
I have never experienced this problem about no shield, but I have experienced the problem of not being able to unpack the game on the other computers. Well I hope I can help somewhat once I ponder on this, although probably not as I am not very qualified to handle these things

2. No, it says "choose a shield above," but there are - as mentioned earlier - no shields to choose!
3. Sorry, I really not know what SP is...

SP= single player. Anyways still looking at it and trying to get it to happen on my LAN. I was wondering, here are some things you may want to try although it may not help:
1. Have someone else try hosting the save game
2. Alter your names a little bit. i.e. if your PRINCE BUB try jackinthebeanstalk. See if that helps.
3. Have someone run it in SP for a minute then save and reload in MP and see what happens.
Also if you could zip me the saved game, I will boot it up on my LAN and see what happens.
