Playing with two other people running on 1.33 (108e), we have continually run into the issue that the death of anyone in the court (leader/heir/spouse) of any human-controlled nation causes an immediate loss of sync error. Everyone has uninstalled, deleted all game-related files in the steamapps/common and Documents/Paradox Interactive folders and reinstalled fresh, but the issue persists. We've attempted games with persons A, B and C playing various combinations: A + C results in an error, B + C does not, A + B does not, A + B + C does.
