A fitting AAR and writAAR to be so lauded. Congrats @Lord Durham

So many great ones were already mentioned in the OP, makes it hard...

Congratulations!

Feel like though i love this thread, there needs to be a note as to whether its finished or not. Otherwise we're making a ton of new unsuspecting fans mourning a dead fic, which sounds a little tragic.

As can be surmised, I don't visit much anymore, so I was a tad surprised to see this AAR so recently honoured. It was a blast to write, though most of the events described was based on news and politics of the time and most likely are hard to relate to these days. Still, it's one of my favourites, so thanks everyone for the congrats.

On another note, I like the thread title. I was just thinking of Chris and when we first met in person for the beginning of our numerous milk and cookies sessions. That was so many years ago now. It was that waxing nostalgic feeling why I decided to pop in. Glad I did. MrT's contributions to these forums deserve the honour. He is missed.

Congratulations, Lord Durham! Very well deserved! :)

How time flies! It's been a couple months since the last nomination already. :)

I'd like to highlight next this old AAR about reviving the Caliphate in EU3; The Shortest Road to Damascus, by aldriq. I can't tag him, as for some reason an Aldriq with capital A and a different shield comes up? A good story though, and the images still show after all this time! :)

(Sometimes you just have to type the name in manually for it to properly format.)

That one's a real blast from the past. I had almost forgotten about reading it, but the moment I opened the thread I knew it was something I had enjoyed before.

Certainly, well deserved; congrats @aldriq! :D

So. This awAARd has laid dormant for far too long. Again. Yet, there are so many great AARs not mentioned in here yet! :)

I'd like to awAARd Singleton Mosby's (authAAR is sadly no longer present on the forums and his account unmerged) Under the Rising Sun - A V2 Review AAR, an AAR that is, as the name suggests, written with the original, vanilla V2 around release. A good read. :)

Indeed. Many congratulations

I remember this work well, @Nikolai and a great suggestion! Singleton gave us not just great work but some very nice graphics and ran one of our newspapers for a time! It is his graphic work that graces the first post of WoW and I always think of him when I look at that in updating. :)

Thanks for jumpstarting this again. MrT would be proud. I'd say G&T's for all, but I think he would prefer a nice lager or better yet, bourbon. :D

Congrats to you, @ Singleton Mosby, wherever you are! A true soldier in the trenches and an unbound excitement about this place and our works.

Guys, this thread died. Again. We need to keep remembering all the good stories and good writAARs - past and gone as well as past and still present. :)

I'd like to give a nod to HungaryForBlood's The Horthy Maddening (Hungary 1936), which even today, 11 years later, has its images intact. Quite a feat. It's a comedy AAR - go check it out now. :)

My stuff from six years ago barely has its images still! What is this sorcery:eek:

An AAR from a few years before I arrived. Will check it out! :)

I remember that AAR! I think I’ve been on this forum too ling. :p
