I loved playing multiplayer HOI, but I don't yet own HOI2. Just wondering how well multiplayer HOI2 stacks up? Is it just as good? better? Also, how well is it balanced for, say, a six-player game. In HOI1, it seemed rather too difficult for the Axis to win. And for them to achieve victory, it usually involved some non-historical, unrealistic strategy like a sucker punch to take out the USA before war in Europe begins, or a sneaky amphibious attack to wipe out Britain. Granted that imbalance is historically accurate, and I still loved the game, but having some kind of balance would do wonders.

I like it better then the original HOI for all purposes, so also MP games. If you want balance (assuming you mean a fair chance for the Axis to win in a '36 campaign), you should think of some house rules (restricting US entry for instance).
