Me and my friend have been playing eu2 mp games for a long time... but nowadays it simply wont work..I cant find him and he cant find me, even in vnet it doesnt work..Weve tried everything.. Even using hamachi but the same thing there : no game found. Ive tried looking trough the multiplayer guides but without success..


we have tried turning our firewalls off and allowing eu2 also.
by the way theres no routers involved...

in desperate need of help, :(

thanks for the reply! I read the first thread through before I even made this thread. No solution there.. plus I dont even have a router... but when I looked into the other thread you mentioned, I noticed this:

"Is your Internet service provider using IP-altering router? If you are not behind a router at home, your ISP might still have a NAT-policy. Contact your ISP."

this might be the problem... is there anyway of finding out if this is the case? and if this is whats causing my troubles, how do I solve it?

NAT means network address translation. In this scenario the IP your computer has is local and different than the IP outside world sees you having. This means that there is no way for the outside world to contact your computer.

Check first your IP locally. Then compare it to the one you see on for example this site: http://whatismyip.com/ . If the two differ, you are behind a NAT.
