I keep trying to join my friends game and it always says no game found at ip address blah blah blah and it doesn't let me join. Also vis versa when he trys to join mine. We both have windows xp and comcast high speed internet. They are both hooked to routers and the router is hooked tot the computer and the wireless goes upstairs to the x box. Any suggestions?

You make your own network, name it what ever you want and give that name to your friends so that they can join your private network. It's not a match making utility.

Obviously its not, but I'm not exactly popular among the worlds HOI2 players and I don't know anyone who plays it so creating my own network would be pointless---hence the need to join an existing network.

I'm in the same boat as you are Kagernaut, I've actualy never even played a multi-player game of HoI.

In the post that Fiendix linked to there is a network for HoI 2, but it's currently full :(

you can also try and check out hoiplayers.notlong.com - we start regular games now and then. Or you can troll vnet at round hrs usually 18-20 CET and try to jump into a game. Or you can post here and try and get some contacts so as to set up a game in the future.
