multiplayer issues, what about easy stuff, like gamespy

Why does all the paradox games still have valkyrienet.
I tried anything I can with my router, but still I can't play online because of router stuff. Besides that, my chat is constantly disabled in valkyrienet and my computer is still getting stuck being in valkyrienet for some time.
Why can't we just use an easy multiplayer program, like gamespy?
It hasn't have bugs and you don't have to fix the router stuff.

I would have never thought i'd be an advocate of Vnet, but the pure thought of paradox moving over to Gamespy is plain horrifying. *shudders*

Unfortunately vnet doesn't deter those people. It must be there isn't that kind of people in Oceania for you not to have noticed them.

Seeing ur reactions, i conclude u guys can play with valkierynet, BUT I CAN'T, and a lot of other can't play either because of router problems.

Maybe paradox should fix Vnet to make it more reliable instead of going to a whole new place. I don't think anywhere you go will you find some one who doesnt want to ruin a game.

I agree, if you're really into mp, you should take the time to read through the router configuration sticky. Personally I think paradox should keep Vnet, but go for an overhaul and streamline it as much as possible.

If you know who you want to play with I would suggest Hamachi with Skype (if you want to chat). Works fine as Hamachi allows you to play as if on a LAN.
I agree, some other option would be nice for MP other that V-net. You should NOT have to reconfigure hardward to play a game.
