I'm aware that there has been multiple issues with HOI2 Doomsday (unmodded) multiplayer, and I've read every single piece of information I could. I have finally given up. I've tried all different kinds of connection settings, firewalls enabled or disabled, hamachi, etc.
I shouldn't have to go through all this trouble to play an online game.
Here is the specific issue.
If I join a player's game (hamachi or otherwise, doesn't matter) pausing the game does not stop the time for a while, and then stops. If, for example, I pause the time... it could go on for about 3 months+ without stopping. Messages are also delayed. I cannot play like this.
If they join my server (hamachi or otherwise) everything works fine and dandy with candy and flowers up until a time frame of 5-15 minutes. At which point he doesn't get my messages, and the game doesn't appear to be multiplayer or have multiplayer activity (even though it says he is connected), MEANWHILE my entire internet connection drops and I have to reset my modem and/or restart my computer to reactivate it.
I am unaware if this is an issue with my set up or configuration, his, or the game (most likely the game).
I just want some sort of solution.
