Confirmed Multiplayer lobby not working when friend has a nickname on steam

Multiplayer lobby not working when friend has a nickname on steam

Expected Result​

My friend on steam has a nickname that is different from his steam username

Actual Result​

When I join them off of steam when they send an invite, it kicks me out and says that there is an incorrect host. I believe it is because when the client is checking the username against the host it is taking the personal nickname given to the host rather than the steam username.

Steps to reproduce​

When the nickname for a given steam user is not the same as the steam users username, when you join off of them through steam it does thinks the nickname is the hosts steam username
