MULTIPLAYER NOT WORKING

Hello,

After a year of not playing I thought I would come back and play online with some friends. It does not work. First off, large maps? Forget about it. You can play for 30 minutes until everyone but the host gets lost connection. Medium map? Sure. For a while until you get to 150-200 prisoners. Then again, everyone gets disconnected and get "Failed to join server" when attempting to download the world when joining. This NEVER used to happen. I'm not sure what is happening but its game breaking and when trying to get my buddies to play they end up hating it because of these issues. Literally 2 are refunding it because we can't play the game online together. To confirm, we are all playing the VANILLA version, no additional mods, same version, etc.

Please. Fix the online issues.

Same problem here, no problems until the prison reached around 120 prisoners...

Very similar issues here as well, plus once online, the characters start skipping around the screen even at normal game speed.

I’m having this issue, but with NO prisoners. The three of us are playing in the same room, and when we join a game, the host will see our names appear on the player list for a second or two and then disappear. We never get to join the game.

We have all tried hosting multiple times, it has nothing to do with who is hosting.

Two of us have all the DLC, one doesn’t. No difference.

We try to join many times, and it will work 1/6 of the time if the map is set to “small”. Otherwise it never works.

We all have relatively new PCs that can handle newer games with no problem (it’s not a hardware issue at all).

Please help, if anyone can share some advice.
