Having never played multi before, what is the gist?

How does it work with Valkyrie?

Are there many game crashes?

Are there other methods to multiplay, other than Valkyrie?

I heard that the timer is very fast. True?

Are there any teams that I can join, or is there something in particular you recommend in order to start multiplayer?

1. It works. Certainly better than Rome TW multiplayer.
2. Computer crashes and disconnects depends mostly on the players.
3. Internet or LAN. See your Multiplayer menue in the game for more.
4. It depends on who's hosting. Some people thinks Normal is too fast, as they don't use the auto-production sliders.
5. Join, or try to join, every game on vnet to get some MP experience.

You can have a look at several threads in this subforums. I am a player of the Monday evening group, and the base players have been playing hoi with each other for like 2 years now. We meet every monday evening and play up to 4 hours, mostly on slow though, so impatient players might be disappointed.

You are welcome to read the Monday Group VI AARs, which can be found right here in this subforums, so you can get a gist of what is going on in MP. Spain invading the US or Italy invading India is a thing which is absoutely possible. Whenever you used exploits against the opponent before, be sure to get flattened by exploits other human players use. We are playing DD btw, and not hoi2 vanilla anymore.

So, in case you deem yourself reliable and think you might have fun playin MP with cool people, just be there in VNET at the time given in the right thread in this subforums - there is one AAR and one game thread for Monday Game VI. Also be sure to check out the MP Faq, as it might give provide you with answers beforehand. You are welcome to ask questions anyway!
