Light role playing is good fun - I like to find historical characters and use that as a base for planning, asking myself what they would do. Evening through night pacific time would suit me. First I need to get more familiar with the game (not thrilled with the limited UI info/mgmt tools, but I may be missing things).

I'm interested. I've been playing in Mr. T's Saturday RP and its really fun.

(I sent you a friend req)

I'm "kkreissig"

Added OP on steam. Very interested.

Random-match MP is getting a little dreary. Too many minmaxers trying to play this game like StarCraft. I need time to enjoy it, not scrambling to keep my science ships exploring every 30 seconds!

Interested. Add me via steam. 'aphrochine'

My evenings will not be open until the 1st week of June.

Thanks!

Glad to see a good response and sorry for neglecting my thread. I've been fiddling with the game files too much to actually play.

I definitely want to organize a night and time. But I also think we should wait at least for the Clarke beta patch before starting anything. There are some issues I'd like to see fixed before I delve into MP--strike craft, corvettes, sectors. I think Clarke will take care of most of that. Asimov, if it's about the mid-game, seems more important for single-player anyway.

What do you guys think? Organize a time now and start around the start of June when Clarke is out?

That's actually a good idea. Even though I have a great desire to MP now, what you say makes sense.

So with the Clarke beta out and a very successful 3-hour test game with my 12-year old son, I'm definitely ready to get this thing organized. Obviously, we should wait for Clarke to hit full release and agree on some mods.

Personally, I really like the ZBeautiful Battles mod--I almost feel it's essential. But I'm happy to forego if anyone thinks it messes with balance (I know he is trying to minimize balance changes with it these days).

For me, I'm thinking a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday would be best in the evening, starting around 8:30 PM Pacific. How about for everyone else?

OK, I'm hearing Tuesdays, which are a good night for me and several others. Watch this space for updates. Definitely waiting for Clarke to be officially released given the apparently crippling ethics divergence bug out there still.

So Clarke has been released. But now Asimov looks even better with @Wiz at the helm. What should we do? Wait for Asimov?

I'm good either way. If we want to start, let's try for Tuesdays at 8:30 Pacific. I can host, I know it works. :)

Who would like to start next week, June 14th?
