My brother finally got this game so i am now getting to try out multiplayer. He has had some random crashes which would be FINE if I could actually reload the saved game afterwards. Every time I try to load the multiplayer game and start it I get the following error:

Array<3, -1, itemsize=8>:eek:verflow 4 of 3

Does anyone know how to fix this?? It makes the game unplayable for multplayer if you cannot reload from a save game.

Do you play without the restriction for number of cities? How many cities do you both have, and how many AIs are in the game? Do you play Battle for Outplanes or War of the Great Council mode? Do you have any modes on?

Array overflow mistakes may be triggered by too large number of entities like cities, monsters or monster dens.

I leave the city restriction on though my friend and I do have a fair number of free cities and fortresses. Normal difficulty no MODs or changes to spawn rates. I was using max players on exiled mode with largest map selected. We did flip and have him host the game instead of me (though my computer has the better stats) and then it was my compute that was crashing and causing us to need to reload. However he did not seem to have the same problems loading the game back up that I did.

Given the overflow number, I don't think it's something as numerous as cities.
4 of 3, looks like there's 4 of something when there should only be 3.

Have you guys tried creating a new MP game, then saving and reloading as a test? If that works it could be a problem on the save file, which could be uploaded here to let the devs look at maybe. (Can you even load someone else's MP save?)

Unless the issue is arising from an external source, like a mod (Which you said you're not using). I don't see much hope of saving that game, beyond loading an earlier save if possible.
