I just got this game through the new Paradox on Demand service, and it came installed with patch 1.2 CNUM. However all of the MP games I have seen are using version 1.2 YQHQ, and the two are incompatible. Can someone explain too me what these letters mean and how I can get the YQHQ version?
 
It seems that the version is not quite the same. You could try downloading the 1.2 patch and installing on top of your current installation to see if that gets you in sync with everyone else (who have installed the 1.2 patch on top the retail 1.0 version). But I'm not sure if this will work so please make a backup before trying it.

I will alert Paradox to this issue but suggest that you complain directly as you will have the details of your purchase for them to investigate.

When I tried installing the 1.2 patch again i got an error that says that Hoi 2 isn't installed. I think the problem is that that the game doesnt physically exist on my computer, only the files it needs to run. Since I have to log in to the Paradox on Demand service every time I play I think the game itself is stored on their servers.
 
I also bought on demand. I have LAJL version (whatever that means) and cannot play against others who have YQHQ. Same problem here, I cannot patch. No one knows how to fix it? It is catastrophy for the On-Demand system then.

If i now order the boxed version from your site, is it possible to delete my On-Demand licence for HOI2 and get a refund?

The on-demand issues have their own forum staffed with people who can help you with your problems. Not sure anyone in this forum can help you.

However, this link will take you to the on-demand customer support page where you can hopefully get some help. Pleas read the threads already there before you post new ones as the issues you are having might already be affecting others.
