Music Crash

Heres the Problem:

When I leave the music on when I fire up the game, I get to the screen where I can choose between Multi, single play, valkyrie net... etc...
When that intro music ends... the game crashes and I get kicked back to desktop.
My system is a PIII 800 with Win ME.

any suggestions?

Go to the Running problems thread on top of this forum and try the suggestions listed.

If you still have problems with the sound card, it would help to know what brand/model it is.

It could be possible that this problem be fixed in the upcoming patch, even if it is not explicitely listed.

I wonder if your Internet connection and your sound card have a clash, maybe sharing an IRQ or memory address. If you are using a modem then you will normally be on com1 or com2 = IRQ 4 or 3 respectively. If a lan card (ie cable modem) then it could be almost anything. Best to have dissimilar devices on different IRQs if possible.
