Well I know King Arthur of Camelot was annoyed by Knights singing and dancing in his Castle... But he always "looked on the bright side of life" *whistles*

More seriously, I know that around year 1000-1100 a monk invented a way to write music that was really similar to what it is today. But I think Norgesvenn is right (as usual:D.) about the Gregorian and poetic stuff.

BUT PLEASE DON'T USE THE FALALAN SONG!

When you play EU2 in the fifteenth century, you have a girl who keeps singing with a very annoying voice "Falalalalalal lalala" stuff. If you have EU2 with you, you can play the song on Winamp: the file is mp3 and in the Music directory.

Let me know if you enjoy it...:D

That sounds cool. Good, grave battle music

Battle music is good, but I'd like also more "peaceful" tunes. it could be a good idea to have each kind of music triggered by what is happening in the game. The idea is not new (Civ2), but in EU2 they didn't do it. Of course each century had its own music and that was cool.

Another cool feature would be to be able to disable precise songs or musics without having to modificate the save files. Like in the options or something. Or even play songs at will like in Civ2

I think he got my point then... Death to the Falalan Girl!

:D

CK music is not the original era themes, it is an original soundtrack dedicated to the time & spirit.

Is this original soundtrack all original music or is it a composite of non-original music (i.e. is it only the soundtrack concept which is original or the music also)?:)

Yeah, I know. Thankfully, as far as these kind of games are concerned, the producers rarely screw up. There are many examples of medieval-themed games with good music, e.g. MTW, Stronghold, Castles, Lords of the Realm etc. :)

That might be hard to do in an EU2-type of game, where you are more often than not at war with somebody. You would almost never get to hear the "peaceful" music then! :D

But in CK you are supposed to prolong your dynasty, rather than wage wars.

I am wondering what the "breeding" music will be like. :D

I can found two different way to interpret that;)
Anyone that know where I can find falafel song? It has 'disappeard' from my computer.

Just reinstal EU2. I don't think anyone would have it on any p2p soft.... But if you don't remember the Falalan, no need to go for it!

Sounds like you are a warmonger - one of those "conquer the world with Baluchistan" guys.

During the... uhhm, grand finale, anything at about 120 beats per minute;)

I hope the music is mostly a capella - I find the singing in EUII somewhat distracting/ irritating.

Cheers,
Vandelay

it is original music written on the basis of Greven's imaginative description of the themes. i think the opening theme rocks well enough to be in a movie. the first time i got the preview MP3, kept playing it for a few hours non-stop :p
