Hey there folks, so who doesn't love a small round about?
Either for congested areas or smaller residential developments, the only smallish annoying thing is that I wish inside these round about there would be a park to embellish the surrounding area.
You can manually add decoration, and it looks good, but citizens won't know it and land value doesn't change.
So I decided to attempt the custom park creator and try something there.
Unfortunately it seems the park creator is actually very restricted in some aspects, as I've found out, I'll describe here the process and how I've ended up with a functional park.
Ideally We would want something like this:
But there are two issues, this too big for single probable park, you can actually connect the roads inside parks, but the zones around them can't be filled and as such its a waste of space.
You can actually decrease the size of the park and have roads outside them, they can be zoned and connected, which is amazing, but having any object in the front of the park makes it impossible to plot it anywhere (which is a shame)
So this ended up being a custom intersection only, why it doesn't have any props, its really cool but doesn't work as I intended.
This was my second try, having only the circle road around, this is actually plop-able and should work, but for some reason the game restricts connecting to roads inside it (maybe because of the intersection created)
So while it would be cool, it is useless.
So this is the result I've come up with, removing the roads and reducing a bit of the size so it fits inside the circle, now I've added some decoration
Its a bit hard to place out correctly, and lay the circled road around, but after its done its a fully workable park
This is the end result and doesn't it look good? Oh I love it, and its fully functional, the paths connect to the road and people use it.
Now if only they make the filler zone thingy it would be able to fill those spaces around it.
