My CD died, now what?

What is the exact error you get when you copied the CD to the HD and installed from their?

I can not get the data2.cab file to HD, I get an error message "cyclical redundancy check". I have tried it in two CD readers, so I think it may be the CD.

Is it a new disk or have you installed the game from it before?

It is a new disk. I have never had the game working as yet
