My guy is the emperor of west slavia, directly inherited everything from previous guy since ive killed every other kid ive had, ive got a grandfather whos a king of denmark and is a member of my dynasty, he created his cadet branch and it changed my guys house from the main one that ive played since the beginning and had a shitload of legacies unlocked to the one that was just created. Ive had numerous people from my dynasty creating their own branches before in this save and nothing like this ever happened. Did anyone of you guys had this bug and is there any fix?

Had to go around it by switching character to the grandfather and stressing until deposed. What a fantastic game you made guys.
The dynasty head always switches when your character dies and you switch to playing your heir. It moves to the house head with the largest army. If your total soldiers is more than all other house heads, within a month of game time, it should switch back to you.
Did you have more soldiers and wait a month? Or did you pause, switch characters, and depose the grandfather?

nah im aware it changes on succession, this was 15 years later, i was a fully grown up emperor with like 30k more soldiers than that grandfather
Was the king of denmark somehow tribal still despite having his own house? Thats the only other reason i can think it wouldn’t switch back. And you were definitely the head of your house?
100% sure i was, and he wasnt tribal. I think its because he was my grandfather, because after i switched to him and got him deposed his heir created his own cadet branch and it didnt change mine this time. So its just a bug.
