Soooo, yeah, something tells me Im not even making this in the right forum (If so, please inform me so that I don't get banned), but here goes. With alt history forum seemingly dying, I had an idea to do a bit of RP here.
Setting-
200, BCE, the year the Hannibal WON the second Punic war. In 203, despite the situation getting desperate, Hannibal continued his conquests in Italy, eventually reaching Rome's doorstep, and razing it to the ground, soon, Macedonia, Carthage's ally to the east, launched their own campaign, with very similar results, within three years, Rome fell.
To the east, conflict between Thrace and the Macedonians has spilled over, as they continue to dispute over Byzantion, the valuable trade city to near Anatolia.
In an effort to protect against these two grand empires, the Greek states to the south have formed their own league for protection. Perhaps this might lead to a united Hellas?
The Greeks of Magna Graecia have taken this opportunity to declare their own independence, and are now backed by Epirus. Now, Carthage has its own "Pyrrhic War" to deal with.
And lastly, an age old rivalry, dating back to the first civilizations to ever exist, Egypt, and the Kushic empire. The Ptolemies, like the Pharaohs before them, have deigned to declare war on The Nubians. If history is a precedent, then Egypt will reign victorious, but the Kush are strong,... and imaginative.
In this RP, you will play as a person, NOT a COUNTRY. Meaning don't die. The playable countries are as follors
Hannibal(Carthage) - Against All odds, this famous man gained victory after victory in the Punic War, winning great glory, and a leadership position governing now Iberia and all Mediterranean and Italian provinces. This man has an army at his disposal with undying loyalty to him, but he faces dark times ahead, his empire has fallen apart while the ink was still wet on his peace treaty, and he has decided to release Syracuse as a vassal to ensure they do not revolt. War with Magna Graecia and Epirus will not be easy.
Scipio Africanus(Rome) - Defeated, but not destroyed, Scipio, who has now been elected consul of Rome, is in a precarious position. He has lost an ally in Massilia, and now suffers a broken empire. He may chose to take advantage of the conflict in south Italy, but it is doubtful that the Greeks their would be any more receptive him than they are of Hannibal. From the ashes, Rome shall rise!
For these, I want you guys to make up your own backstory
-Macedonia
-Thracia
-League of Tyche
-Egypt
-Kush
-Magna Graecia
-Syracuse
-Massilia
-Epirus
I Honestly don't know how this will turn out, so if have any suggestions, please comment
Sincerely
Ya BOII
