My god please help (Inflation)

its 1580 and inflation is at 49% and still rising ! I dont understand how to keep it low. Im Sweden and have been at constant war so i need the money to keep flowin in.What the hell is going on.........Troops cost 40 bucks a pop. What can i do (before governers) to keep this down.

Sorry, as far as I know there's nothing you can do at this point but sit tight til you get governors.

As for how things got that way, look at how you're ditributing your monthly incomes. Every bit that isn't used for research or stability adds to inflation. That's even if you're still working at a deficit!

So put the money into research, and then save enough at the begining of each year to cover any deficit you have, and you won't pile up all that inflation.

Also, loans add to inflation.

Pray for a random deflation event? Or stop wasting your monthly income.

And concentrate your research on infrastructure... you need these governors ASAP

When setting your monthly income with the slider, let the curser stay on it for a bit. A second help line will appear, this tells you what percent the inflation will increase with the slider at that position. Also taking a loan will increase your inflation by 1%, I think. Watch the percent on the slider once in a while as it will change, bug?

Hey, logical : 40 years of war should put you into deep, deep financial troubles.
First step : learn to make peace sometimes. Even at the cost of one or two provinces.
Second step : learn about (re)building your economy after a war and to prepare for war

Also if playing 1.07, go bankrupt : it will halve your inflation. You may need it even twice. I really regret that this is gone in 1.08. Otherwise, I believe that in your situation, either you get lucky with the deflation event or you're going a hell of an endgame with everything at +50% (including research costs...)
