My GPU is getting lit up

I have the problem that everytime I start the game my gpu is running crazy and getting from temperatures below 40 degrees celsius up to 85C. Already set the graphic setting down and also reinstalled it but nothing helped. I have an RTX2070.

Yeah already did that. Also set the graphics down a bit and de-dust my pc yesterday. I even tested if V-Synch makes any problems but it didn’t. It’s weird because I thought my gpu would handle it really good but it is on 100% every minute I play the game…

Please make sure you disable VSync, since it will override the FPS cap setting.
edit: Ah, too late with that one.

Maybe check if you can limit FPS with the external GPU tools.

I am having the same issue, a huge GPU spike on an RTX 3070 leading to repeated CTD's. I have not had the temperature issues as the game just boots me back to steam. V-sync on and off, Frame caps both in the game with V-Sync off and frame rates forced on G Force Control Panel have made no difference

I updated drivers, reset my EVGA Precision X1 App settings, and capped the frame rate at 60 and the game is now running smooth at 4k60fps and my GPU is no longer running over 85C.

It's not your GPU. I have a 2060 RTX SUPER, and I have the same issue. This game is looking nice, but it shouldn't be this intensive on the video card. I had to limit the FPS to 60, but even like that it will max out the card. If I want a low temperature, then I have to set the vsyinc to 30fps.
