Hi all,

Scar from Holland here
I hope you can help me.
Finally after a lot of normal and cyber shopping i got my copy of EU2.
I loved EU1 and read the comments on this forum about EU2 and that convinced me to go for it.
Ok, well I got it and immediatly started installing (I have a pentium IV, Win XP) and got the error message:
C:\Documents1\owner etc etc \setup.inx could not be installed.

So I went to the forum and saw the possible solution of installing patch 1.08 and if that didnt work copy the files from the CD to the HD so I did both and installed from the HD.

Now I didnt get an installation error message anymore and it seemed to have installed succesfully but I didnt get a eu2 startup icon in my start menu or the desktop and if I enter the CD it starts up the install again.

So I went to the explorer and checked the paradox directory under program files and saw the EU2 icon there but when I doubleclick that I get the message:

--- excel file not found
---
Do you still want to continue?

Well, when I abort I get a runtime error message and again or ignore result in the making of the error mail for Microsoft.

I hope anyone can help me, thank you in advance.

Okay I just need to know who the publisher of your version is?

Thier logo will be on the CD.

I first went wrong cause I downloaded the scandinavian patch and tried to install with that but when that didnt work I just cleaned all and followed the advice word by word and it worked like a charm.
