My Pop isn't splitting, please please help!

Ok i just bought the game for 1 day and have been playing it all night, It is an amazing game.

However i hit a roadblock. I have no clue how to split the Pop. I looked it up and apparently if you reach 100,000 your population splits in two. half of my Pops are at 100,000 and they're not splitting! why is this? is there a button i should press?

Im a total newbie and i need to know if theres just something i dont know or is my game corrupt and disabled. Please please i need a quick answer im playing a drop dead exciting game and i cant continue until i solve this.

Yeah POPs should automatically split after reaching 100,000. IIRC one the pathces makes it a 3:1 split (i.e. 75,000 and 25,000). Not sure why this isn't happening?? Might just need to update to another patch (try 1.4).

What version are you running (should say on the main menu)? I'd recommend at least patch 1.04 if you don't want Revolutions for some reason.
